Gaël Farfazee Monfils (born 1 September 1986) is a French professional tennis player. Monfils has reached a career-high singles ranking of World number 7, and is currently the third highest-ranked French tennis player (No. 28 in the ATP World Rankings). He is one of few black French tennis players, and managed to become the runner-up at the Paris Masters in 2009 and 2010 and a semifinalist at the 2008 French Open.
