Tomáš Berdych (born September 17, 1985, in Valašské Meziříčí) is a professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. His most notable achievement was reaching the final of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, where he defeated defending champion Roger Federer in the quarterfinals and World No. 3 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals before succumbing to Rafael Nadal in straight sets. He has also reached the semi-finals of the 2010 French Open and the 2012 US Open where he defeated World No. 1 Roger Federer again at the quarterfinal stage.
