Jamel Herring (born October 30, 1985 in Coram, New York) is an American amateur boxer in the Light Welterweight division. He is currently the number one rated amateur boxer at Light Welterweight in the U.S. Herring won a silver medal at the 2010 World Military Games and took the a gold medal at the 2011 and 2012 Armed Forces Championships. Herring also won gold at the 2012 USA Olympic Team Trials and 2012 USA Boxing National Tournament.
